Kevin Liles, CEO for Def Jam Enterprises went on to explain why the company felt that changing content for each country was a good move.

As I continue to travel the globe, I’m always amazed how hip hop has impacted youth culture in every country around the world” “Each territory is creating their own movement, style, artists, and songs that resonate with the hip hop experience in their respective country. Hip hop is global, therefore Def Jam Rapstar must also be global, and provide local content providers the opportunity to represent hip hop in their own language in their own voice.”

One thing is for sure, I’m not even a rap fan and I’m impressed by how much effort has gone into the creation of this game. Much like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, I expect this title will be supported by DLC far into the future, and with only one peripheral needed the price looks to be reasonable too. Expect more info on Def Jam Rapstar as we get it.
